Fort Myers personal injury trial attorney Elizete Velado has been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of two Florida Justice Association, (FJA), entities. Velado now serves on the Board of the FJA's Young Lawyers Division, as well as their Women's Caucus Section. The elections took place during the 2017 Florida Justice Association Annual Convention in St. Petersburg, Florida. Held at the Don CeSar Hotel June 13th through the 17th, the FJA function features top attorneys and experts in the legal field addressing members on today's most pressing law-related topics, educational seminars and workshops and the opportunity to network with other FJA members and guests.
Also at the conference were Goldberg Noone Abraham attorneys Scot D. Goldberg and Sheba Abraham, participating in the Women's Caucus Retreat on June 13th, the Young Lawyers Seminar on June 14th and several Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars and symposiums. Some of the educational sessions included Advanced Trial Skills, workshops on negotiation skills and jury selection, a review of new Florida legislation related to the practice of law and elections of the FJA Directors, Committee Chairs and Board Members.
Goldberg Noone Abraham's Managing Partner Scot D. Goldberg, an FJA Eagle Member, has long supported this important retreat and continually finds attending to be well worth the time and investment. “The FJA has been the leading attorney educational and advocacy group in Florida for more than 50 years, and there's just no better opportunity for learning, meeting key contacts and hearing what the latest trends and tactics are in the legal world”, Goldberg said. “We're all very proud of Elizete for her proactive involvement in this worthwhile organization”.
